FLC Seniors Offers Alberta Ballet

January 25, 2014

Our members have expressed an interest in Alberta Ballet. Susan Spragg and Kisela Ironside have volunteered to coordinate this activity for the FLC Seniors Club.

This year we have been able to get tickets for the Saturday matinees of each of the season's productions at discount pricing. So far this year we have enjoyed the productions of Madame Butterfly, Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker.  This has provided an opportunity for fans and people who are new to the ballet scene to experience ballet at great pricing.

It is not too late for the last two productions.

Giselle

This historical premiere will mark Alberta Ballet's first full presentation of this legendary classical ballet. Richly layered characters, stunning choreography, and a heartbreaking score create a powerful testament to the strength within the human soul.

Tickets will be for the production on Saturday March 22 at 2:00pm.

The last production this year will be Class Acts

Class Acts - A Tribute to Hollywood Musicals

Travel back to Hollywood's golden age and be dazzled by the fantastical world of iconic Hollywood musicals as we follow a maverick movie director while he films a series of breathtaking and glamorous dance sequences. These dynamic and upbeat dance creations will feature large Hollywood inspired ensemble numbers, powerful solos, and romantic duets, all reminiscent of the great triumphs of the silver screen.
Tickets will be for the production on Saturday May 3 at 2:00pm.

Tickets are $37.00 for excellent seats in the approximately rear third of the main floor.  If you prefer you may have tickets a little closer in the orchestra at $59.00. Tickets orders are cutoff about 3 weeks before the performance.
