The doors to our building have remained closed and our stage silent since a mandated closure on March 15th.
Over the past few months we have seen several plans in North America to reopen restaurants and theatres get derailed. We had developed several of our own plans but have continued to run into obstacles which would not allow us to put on the same quality of shows that our customers have come to expect. Indoor singing bans, restrictions on seating which would affect where our season ticket holders can watch the show from and how long they would have to wait to see performances as well as issues of bringing in actors from outside the country were only a few of the challenges that we’ve come up against.
After a long discussion with Alberta Health Services (AHS) we have decided that the best approach to our reopening should be cautious and phased.
The first step will be to reopen our doors on November 13th 2020, with a phenomenal buffet. The buffet will run Thursday to Sunday evenings as well as a brunch seating on Sunday. With the support of AHS there will be enhanced safety measures such as social distancing, both in the line ups for the buffet, as well as between tables in our restaurant. We will also limit the number of people in both our lobby and buffet room and provide an exciting new way of offering our buffet service.
With the approval of AHS, our second step will be to relaunch our performances in the Spring of 2021. We will kick off our 21/22 season with our usual 5 show line-up which will include “Forever Plaid” and “Soul of Motown” the two shows that had to be postponed this year as well as three exciting new productions. Tribute shows for Shania Twain, Elton John, The Everly Brothers and Elvis will also return as soon as AHS allows.
As a reminder, anyone affected by a show cancellation in 2020 has a credit in place on your patron profile that can be used towards a future production or you can use that credit at the dollar value towards the cost of our re-imagined buffet. As well, any gift certificates that expired after March 15, 2020 will be extended to September of 2021.
On November 04, 2020, we will reopen our Box Office and begin to take reservations for our exciting new buffet service.

The 390 seat theatre is ramped and tiered, offering easy access and an excellent view of the stage from all locations. Stage West’s sumptuous 120 item buffet is included with each performance.
Time: Wednesday Buffet: 10:30 am - 12:00 pm Curtain: 12:00 pm
Tuesday Evening Buffet: 6:00 pm - 7:45 pm Curtain: 7:45 pm
Ticket Pick Up: Purchased tickets may be picked up anytime including the day of the performance at the Stage West Box Office.
To reserve tickets for Stage West, you must call the Stage West Box Office at 403 243 6642 and identify yourself as a member of the FLC Seniors Club. Club Members pay the discounted rate of $57.75 (GST included).
Please note: FLC Seniors Club does not organize outings to Stage West. Members must organize their own transportation to the theatre.
