Yoga is a system of breathing exercise, movements and relaxation techniques that stretch and strengthen your body, keeping your mind and spirit working together in harmony.
Yoga can improve your health, stretches your muscles, sharpens your memory and eases your tension. It's great for all ages and physical abilities.
The FLC Seniors Club offer classes for both the beginner and the more experienced students with modifications to help you maximize your class, working according to your own limits of flexibility and strength.
All our instructors are certified professionals who have experience working with older adults (55+) and the programs are designed to meet those needs.
"Foundations" - Description:
This class is suitable for the active and healthy beginner and continuing beginnner. You will learn about the basic philosophy, breath work and physical practice of yoga. Note: Some basic experience and knowledge of yoga is not required, but would be an asset.
"Foundations Plus" - Description:
For the more advanced or long time yoga practitioners. Students should be comfortable being on their hands and knees, familiar with the classic standing and balance poses and comfortable doing sun salutations. Note: Previous yoga experience is required.
"Building Blocks of Yoga" - Lonnie's Friday Class - Description:
Geared toward beginner and experienced practitioners alike, this class incorporates slow transitions and tends toward gentle and restorative. At the same time it works with balance, stabilization and strength while promoting wellbeing, healthy body alignment, self awareness - and finding balance in daily life. It minimizes work on hands and knees and significant inversions, and offsets time spent on feet with sitting in chairs and lying down. Note: This class is geared to people who have mild challenges.
"Foundations for Men Only" - Description:
For the active and healthy gentleman who is more comforable learning about the basic philosophy, breath work and physical practice of yoga in an all male class. Note: Some basic exerience and knowledge of yoga is not required, but would be an asset.

Fall and Winter Session 2018: $104.00 for 13 weeks for all classes.
Winter/Spring Session 2019: All classes $144.00 for 18 weeks, exception of Mondays $136.00 for 17 weeks and Men's Yoga Only $96.00 for 12 weeks
All classes are 1 hour and 30 minutes.
