Rules of Play for 8 Ball
version 15.03.2016
with the following exceptions:
SCOTCH DOUBLES RULES
1. The two players on each team will alternate shots starting with the first break and continuing the
rotation throughout the entire game. It is up to each team to keep track of who shot last. The opposing
team must alert their opponent if the wrong player is shooting. It is not a foul if the wrong person
shoots.
2. 40 seconds per shot should be the standard.
3. There will be no talking to your partner when it is your team’s turn at the table, except during a time
out.
4. Only during a time out may either player on a team place the cue ball on the table in a ball in hand
situation, or either player may call the pocket for the 8 ball.
5. Only one time out (one minute) will be allowed per team per game. Only one person is allowed at the
table at any time, except during a time out.
6. Once a player has completed his/her shot another player must be ready to take their shot. No table talk
is allowed at this time.
7. The FLC Seniors coordinator has final say in any and all decisions to be made.
8. All other rules follow FLC Seniors Singles Rules (World Pool Association)
