Calling all leaders.

Hopefully each of our leaders will do one AdHoc Ride in 2020, in addition to volunteering for our normal L1, L2 and L3 rides.

This will demonstrate whether there is a demand for more leader flexibility and more rider options.

AdHoc Rides are L1, L2 or L3 Rides which do not fit in as a designated coordinated rides. 

Our designated coordinated rides are:    L1 Tues, L2 Tues and Thurs, L3 Wed and Sat

(Note - Because of the rider limitation of 8 riders, there will an opportunity to schedule an AdHoc ride if the designated scheduled ride is full.)

Besides giving riders more ride options, other reasons for an AdHoc Ride could be for:

- exploratory, route practice, Route Training for leaders, variety, smaller ride group, fun, identifying a riding partner 

- special occasion, meeting of leaders,

- any excuse for another ride will do

AdHoc rides differ from normal L1, L2 and L3 rides:

- # of participants can be limited

- distance may be shorter or longer than normal for the level

- the ride may be designated as training for prospective leaders to learn a new route. It could be posted as L1 with invite to leaders of all levels.

- the ride may be designated as a ride of leaders with a lunch discussion meeting

A leader can post an AdHoc Ride without it being scheduled although this page will be updated to reflect the AdHoc Ride history.

The earlier an AdHoc Ride is scheduled/posted, the more chance that someone will sign up for the ride. 

If you are a leader and you would like to learn a new route, let me ( Hazel) know. I may be able to arrange an AdHoc Training Ride or some map help.
