PEARCE ESTATE PARK TO UNIVERSITY DISTRICT CENTRAL PARK

COMPLEXITY: 35 KM - A large hill, overpasses, long climbs and some busy traffic interactions and road crossings.

ROUTE: The ride will go east from Pearce Estate across the Bow River then west behind the Spark Centre then climb Tom Campbell Hill for a view of Calgary and to access the ridge. We will then proceed west along the ridge thru Renfrew and Crescent Heights to SAIT. Then into Hounsfield Heights/Briar Hill to the Foothills Medical Centre past University Heights pond on to Central Commons Park for lunch. After lunch we will go east through the U of C to the CTrain Station pedestrian overpass and into Charleswood and Confederation Park cycling NE thru Queens Park, crossing 4 St NW into Highland Park and on to Nose Creek pathway returning south to the Zoo. We will then go east along the Bow River to 17th Ave where we will the return west to Pearce Estate Park.

PREPARATION: Please arrive by 9:40 and be ready to ride. That will give you time to meet with fellow riders. We depart at 10:00 sharp. Come prepared with helmet, lunch water, emergency info, sun glasses, sun screen, spare tube, tire pump and a smile!

MEETING LOCATION: The starting location is the parking lot at Pearce Estate Park. Enter the park at 17a St SE of Blackfoot/17 Ave SE. Park at the south end of the west side of the parking
