Come enjoy a leisurely ride from the Shannon Terrace parking lot on the west end of Fish Creek Park to Glenmore Reservoir (clockwise) and back to Shannon Terrace.
This is a 30 km ride on bike paths which is mostly flat, but has three larger hills to navigate (leaving Fish Creek Park / leaving Weasel Head / approaching Rockyview Hospital).
We will stop for lunch near the entrance to Heritage Park, where there are benches, bathrooms, an ice cream shop, a candy store and the Railway Cafe.
Bathrooms are located at Shannon Terrace Parking Lot / North Glenmore Park (Portable Restrooms) / Lunch Stop at Heritage Park / South Glenmore Park (Variety Park).
Please come prepared for the weather with your helmet, bike bell/repair kit/battery, water bottle, lunch/snacks, sunscreen/sunglasses and clothing.
Check your email and/or bike ride write-up after 8 AM on the day of the ride for possible changes. If the ride is cancelled, email notifications will be sent to all riders who have signed up.
Arrive at Shannon Terrace parking lot in Fish Creek Park at 9:45 AM to have your bike ready and meet some of your fellow cyclists before we depart at 10:00 AM.
Directions:
From East - Anderson Road West / Turn left on 24th Street SW / Turn right on Woodview Drive / Turn left on Woodbine Blvd / Turn right on Woodfield Road / Turn right on 130th / Turn left on Woodpath Road.
From East - Anderson Road West (keep right) / Turn left on Buffalo Run Blvd / At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto 130th Ave SW / Turn right on Woodpath Road.
From North - Highway 201 to exit 17 towards Buffalo Run Blvd / At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto 130th Ave SW / Turn right on Woodpath Road.
From South - Highway 201 to exit 15 toward 130 Ave SW & Buffalo Run Blvd / At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto 130th Ave SW / Turn right on Woodpath Road.
