This is an easy (no hills) 20km ride starting at Ralph Klein Park, crossing under the Ring Road and across 114th Avenue. We then proceed through the wet lands (that are dry) crossing several boardwalks to the community of New Brighton, we then ride briefly through New Brighton and Copperfield at stop at Starbucks of 52nd Street for a bathroom/refreshment break. we will then follow the Rotary/Mattany Greenway then back to Ralph Klein Park for lunch.
COME PREPARED: Bring your helmet, lunch, water, emergency info, sun glasses, sun screen, spare tire, tire pump and whatever else you need to be comfortable. Be sure your bike is in good working order, don't forget a bike bell is required.
BATHROOMS: Bathrooms are available at Ralph Klein Park and Starbucks.
RECHECK: The ride writeup after 8:00 am the day of the ride for possible ride changes or cancellation. If the ride is cancelled, email notifications are sent to all riders registered for the ride. Please don't be a NO SHOW. If you can't participate on the ride please cancel on-line prior to 8AM or call the leader.
DIRECTIONS TO RALPH KLEIN PARK: Proceed east on 114th Avenue SE to the end; turn right on 84th Street; then proceed 1.5 km south the entrance to Ralph Klein Park on the left.
NOTE: WITH A MAXIMUM OF 30 RIDERS PERMITTED ON THIS RIDE WE WILL NEED TO SPLIT THE GROUP, SO I WILL NEED A MID-POINT VOLUNTEER TO LEAD THE SECOND GROUP (YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SEE THE FIRST GROUP AND FOLLOW THEM)
