ROUTE INFORMATION: Heading south from Carburn Park, we will cross over the Bow River and into Fish Creek Park. As necessary we will have opportunities to stop at Mallard Point and the Ranch before reaching our lunch stop at Glennfield, after which we follow basically the same route to back to Carburn Park. Depending on the group's wishes, there maybe an ice cream break at the Ranche on our return ride. This ride is essentially flat with only a few minor rises. We will keep the speed around 18 km. Washrooms are available at Carburn Park, Glennfield and various points in-between.
RIDERS: Meet in the Carburn Park parking lot by 9:40 am so procedures can be reviewed prior to our 10 am departure. Come prepared with a helmet, water, lunch/snack, emergency information, sunglasses and whatever else you might need to be comfortable on the ride. Be sure your bike is in good working order. A bike bell is a must, a mirror is a bonus.
Be sure to put your name on the waitlist if the ride capacity has been reached. We may be able to accommodate additional riders. If you need to cancel, try to do so before 8 am on the day of the ride. After 8 am on the day of the ride, if you need to cancel or are delayed, contact the leader at 403-650-1095. Prior to 8 am on the day of the ride, check your email and/or the ride sign-up page for possible changes or cancellations. If the ride is cancelled, all riders who are signed up will be notified.
DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS TO CARBURN PARK: Going east on Glenmore Trail, turn right onto 18 Street SE. Turn right at the lights at Rivervalley Drive. Turn left onto Riverview Drive and carry on for about 2 blocks. Turn right into Carburn Park. If you are coming from south Deerfoot, turn onto 24 Street SE and head north to 18 Street. Turn left onto 18th Street. Turn left at the lights at Rivervalley Drive. Turn left onto Riverview Drive and carry on for about 2 blocks. Turn right into Carburn Park.
