The ride will start from the Pearce Estates Fish Hatchery parking lot. We will initially travel along the pathway on the south side of the Bow River. Prior to reaching the busy downtown construction area, we will cross the river and continue to Edworthy Park on the north side of the Bow River. Following a lunch/snack break at Edworthy Park, we will return on pathways to Pearce Estates. This is an easy ride - approximately 25 km on flat terrain. Washrooms are located at both ends of the ride.
RIDERS: Please arrive at the Pearce Estates parking lot by 9:40 am. This will give us time to get our bikes ready to roll and review the rules. We will leave Pearce Estates at 10 am sharp. Be sure to check the ride details prior to 8 am on the day of the ride for any changes or cancellations. If you need to cancel your participation, please do so before 8 am on the morning of the ride. If you have to cancel after 8 am, or are running late, contact the leader at 403-650-1095. Come prepared to ride with a bike in good working order, your helmet, bike bell, lunch, water, emergency information, sun glasses and whatever else you need to ride comfortably. E-bike riders - don't forget your battery and, all riders, a mirror is a nice bonus so you can see who's behind you.
DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS TO THE START: The Fish Hatchery is located at 1440 17A Street SE. From Deerfoot, turn west onto 17th Avenue/Blackfoot Trail SE and then turn north at 17A Street. Go around the traffic circle and exit into the parking lot. If you are traveling on Blackfoot Trail, turn north at 17A Street, go around the traffic circle, and turn into the parking lot.
