Meet at Glennfield by 9:45 to make sure you and your bike are ready, and to meet other cyclists. Washrooms are located here, as well as other places along our route.
We will depart at 10:00 from Glennfield Park, cycling East along the Fish Creek paved trails to the Ranche, then north past Bankside, Mallard Point, crossing the bridge and proceeding on the east side of the river to Carburn Park for our lunch break.
On the return we will make our way along the east side of the Bow River, past communities of Quarry Park, Douglasdale, and McKenzie before heading back into the park.
There is one long uphill on this route - around Quarry Park/Douglasdale. While this portion of the ride will make non e-bike riders breathless, once we reach the flat section the view may take your breath away - the Bow River below, and the mountains to the west. Then there is a steep downhill going from McKenzie into the Park. When descending into the park, riders have the option of the paved trail with a few switchbacks, or cycling down a gravel path. We will all take our time on this part of the ride.

Driving instructions to Glennfield Park:
From the North - Drive south on MacLeod Trail, just after Canyon Meadow overpass, take off-ramp to the right and follow toward Greengate Garden Centre. Turn right at Shawnee Dr. SW which turns into Bannister Road SE after going under the MacLeod Trail underpass. First road to the left is the entrance to Fish Creek and Glennfield parking lot.

From the South - Drive North on Macleod Trail, past Shawnessy Blvd exit take Bannister Road exit almost immediately turn left (i.e. North) onto Bannister Road SE, drive for 750 meters, then turn right into Fish Creek Park, to the first parking lot on your left.
