Arrive at 9:40 a.m. to have your bike ready and meet your fellow cyclists, to be ready to depart at 10:00.
Come join us for a tour of views, vistas and art, through the new community of Legacy. On our way to Legacy, we will head west along a long incline and up the hill into Midnapore (the easiest hill up). We will cycle our way through relatively flat Midnapore and Sundance, then continue heading south, exploring Lake Chaparral, Walden and Legacy. We will have 2 stops for bathrooms, one each before and after lunch. We will stop at the “Windward light” bird in Walden for a picture, Jane Seymour's Open Hearts Sculpture, and then lunch overlooking Pine Creek Valley. We will continue through Legacy exploring lookouts, its paths and ponds. On our way back we will pass back through Walden then head down the hill by Lake Chapparel and Wolf Willow. We will follow the path along the bird rich ponds alongside Blue devil golfcourse then on past Lake Sikome to get back to the Ranche. The ride is approximately 37k on mostly bike trails and some quiet road travel.
Bring your Helmet, lunch, water, suntan lotion, camera, medical card and of course your smile.
If you are signed up and find you have to cancel, just put your FLC number in again and click "cancel sign up". If the ride is cancelled you will receive an email notice by 8 a.m. the day of the ride. The website will also show the ride as CANCELLED. If you need to cancel on the day of the ride after 8 am, please call Gisele at 403-923-0201.
Driving Directions to Bow Valley Ranche
Drive south on Bow Bottom Trail past 146 Ave. SE. Watch for The Ranche sign on the right side, enter and drive into the first parking lot. Address is 15979 Bow Bottom Trail SE.
