This ride has views of the Bow Valley in fall colours, quiet neighbourhoods in central west Calgary and a mini cycle track tour in Downtown Calgary.
Starting at Sirocco we head North to Patterson, West to Cougar Ridge, South though aspen groves to Mystic Ridge and then East through quiet neighbourhoods all the way to Mount Royal and Mission. After a short ride North through Mission we join up and follow several popular cycle tracks through the downtown core to the East Village then West for lunch at Princes Island Park. We continue West and climb the gravel Quarry Road. If spinning your smooth road tires in gravel does not turn your crank (figuratively) an alternate route is provided. Spruce View, Wildwood and a return to Sirocco. They are shops nearby our start/end point with outdoor seating for an apre's cycle break offering food, coffee and chilled IARC Group 1 carcinogens.
90% of the ride is on multiuse pathways, cycle tracks or quiet residential streets but they are some gravel and shale paths and several hairpin turns. Northbound 5th West has a short section with a single lane and parked cars. Click here for a map of this unique ride.

Starting directions: From one block West of Sarcee and17 Ave SW turn South for one block , turn left and then drive past the shopping centre to the Park and Ride lot. We will meet near the North end of the lot.
