Chaparral, Walden, Legacy 23
This varied ride starts from the Chaparral shopping plaza. We wind through Chaparral Ridge and Chaparral Ravine with views of the valley below. Next, we ride through Chapman and Walden, and loop around Legacy with its escarpment views north. We stop for lunch at the Legacy lakes. We proceed through Walgren and the wilderness area further north, then take the winding pathway through Walden and around Chaparral Lake for the return. No hills.
Location: Chaparral shopping plaza at the northwest corner of Chaparral Boulevard SE and Chaparral Drive, just south of Stoney Trail.
The ride will have regrouping at intervals and a sweep. Bring lunch. Take your route tracking device for more enjoyment and the possibility of leading this ride or a suitable variant next year. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start for bike preparation, meet and greet, and a quick safety drill.
Waitlist: If you find the ride filled, I encourage you to put your name on the waitlist. The chances are either you will replace a cancellation, done automatically, or I can organize another ride for you and others with sufficient participants.
Cancellation: If you are signed up and find you have to cancel, please do so as soon as you know to leave space for someone else. Just put your FLC number in again and click "cancel sign up." If it is necessary to cancel because of weather or another reason, I will notify you on this page and by Email or telephone by 8 am on the event day.
