Elgin, Copperfield, SE Greenway, Mahogany, Auburn Bay 45
The communities visited on this ride all have lakeside pathways. The route starts at the Ranch parking lot in Fish Creek Park, crosses the Bow River, circles around Mackenzie Lake on the east side, borders Inverness Lake, and transits through Elgin. After travelling around the Copperfield Lakes, the route follows two long sections of the SE Rotary Mattamy Greenway. It circles around Auburn Bay in a different way from earlier in the season, and loops around Cranston. Lunch is at Good Earth Coffeehouse in Cranston. The return is along the Mackenzie escarpment.
The ride will have regrouping at intervals and a sweep. Bring lunch to eat outside if you prefer. Bring your route tracking device for more enjoyment, and the possibility of leading this ride or a good variant another time.
Location: Ranch at Fish Creek. Directions: Drive south on Bow Bottom Trail almost to the end; turn right into the Ranch parking lot.
Cancellation: If you are signed up and find you have to cancel, just put your FLC number in again and click "cancel sign up". If the ride is cancelled you will receive an email notice by 8 a.m. on the day of the ride. The website will also show the ride as CANCELLED.
