This ride is a duplicate of the May 16th ride which was Cancelled due to smoke and high winds.
Mallard Point along West side of The Bow River to Fish Hatchery and return on East side of The Bow for 40 km.
Join Murray before 10 am at the Mallard Point Washroom in Fish Creek Park at the end of Canyon Meadows Drive East. Pack lot's of water and snacks and remember sunglasses and rain jacket just in case.
We will have only one hill up through Diamond Cove but the early arrivals will wait at the top for the slower group to join them for a beautiful view of the Bow River going south. Then we take the trail through the Dog Park and take the new trail past the Golf Centre north to the Fish Hatchery picnic area.
After lunch we will proceed south again along the West side of the Bow to our best entry for the cycling trail along the East side of the Bow. (We hope to see the beautiful new Migrant Park built by the Vietnamese community in Calgary if the trail going southeast along the Bow is open.) We head south along the Bow back to Mallard.
