Stanley Park to Bowness Park - 48 km
Ride will go north from the Stanley Park WEST parking lot through Roxboro then along Elbow River to Lindsay Park, then along the Elbow River east f the Stampede grounds to Fort Calgary, then to St Patrick's Island for PIT STOP. We will then go west along the north side of the Bow River with a PIT STOP at Edworthy Park, then continue on to Baker Park and stopping in Bowness Park for lunch.
After lunch we will exit Bowness Park at the entry gate and proceed to Bowness Road cycling lane where we will travel east through the Bowness Main Street on to the Hextall Bridge then Shouldice Park and Edworthy Park for a PIT STOP. The route will then cross the river at Angel's Cafe and go east along the south side of the river to downtown Calgary where we will zig zag south along the cycle lanes to the Elbow River bike path returning to Stanley Park.
The tour is essentially "flat" with no serious hills. However, the route will use several marked or separated cycle lanes on various streets and avenues.
Please arrive before 9:45 am to have your bike ready and meet your fellow riders. We will depart at 10:00.

RIDERS: Come prepared with helmet, lunch water, emergency info, spare tire as well as your smile.
MEETING LOCATION: Is the WEST parking lot of Stanley Park. This can be reached from Landsdowne Ave (off of Elbow Drive/Riverdale traffic circle) and then turning north on any street (5a, 5, 4a) to Riverdale Ave. You can also come off Macleod Trail turning west on 42 Ave then turning right on 4a or 5 St. You can also park on the east side of Stanley Park but you will have to cycle past the pool to the WEST parking lot to meet up with the group.
