NW tour of Sherwood, Rocky Ridge, Arbour Lake and Citadel- 30 km with Hills
COMPLEXITY:
Expect continuous rolling hills with 2 steeper hills on switchbacks to give you a wonderfully challenging ride for this time of year. The overall distance is shorter at 31 km, but it does cover 280-300 m elevation. You will travel mostly on paved paths with the occasional gravel path and some quiet residential roads.
Ride Details:
Meet fellow cyclists at 9:40 am, ready to depart at 10:00 am, in Northwest Calgary for a hilly ride through the communities of Sherwood, Rocky Ridge, Arbour Lake and Citadel. The challenges are paid back with awe inspiring views, outdoor art , fascinating architecture and some interesting hidden gems of the northwest.
We will have a lunch stop at a playground and there are 2 other stops for bathrooms.
Rider instructions:
Bring your helmet, lunch, water, suntan lotion, camera, medical card and your enthusiasm. If you are signed up and find you have to cancel, just put your FLC number in again and click “cancel sign up”. If the ride is cancelled you will receive an email notice by 8 am on the day of the ride. The website will also show the ride as CANCELED.

From the south:
Drive north on Deerfoot Trail past 16 ave, McKnight Blvd. , airport Trail and take the exit west on Stoney Trail.
From the west:
Go east on Stoney Trail to Sarcee Trail turnoff
Follow to Sarcee Trail north towards the Canadian Tire. Turn right into the Canadian Tire parking lot and park furthest from the store facing Sarcee Trail
