Edworthy Park to Pearce Estate Park and return- approximately 30 km. April 22/21 11:00AM
Driving directions to the starting location. Travel on Bow Trail SW, east or west to 45 Street SW. Travel north 5-6 blocks to Spruce Drive SW. Watch out for the 2 school zones. Turn left, head west 10 blocks to Edworthy Park, turn right and head north down the descending valley drive to the Edworthy Park South Parking lot.
Please bring your helmet, water and lunch, tools, inner tube and a mask. Be prepared to answer No to all the Covid screening questions before the ride starts.
We will leave from Edworthy Park. Meet on the north side of the tracks at 10:40A.M. for a 11:00 Am departure. We will eat lunch at the Pearce Estate Park.
We will cruise at a leisurely 17-18 KPH max. We will get through the downtown area before the noon hour crowds appear.
This is a very flat ride, with a slight incline on the return route as we ride upstream to the Bow. The steepest parts will be bridge ramps! Washroom breaks will be at Edworthy Park, Prince’s Island, St.Patrick’s Island and Pearce Estate Park.
At the end of the ride you can visit Angel’s Cafe on the north side of the river.
