We look forward to going out again in May and June of 2012.

Come and join us – no experience necessary.

Meet nice people, get some exercise and sharpen your mind at the same time.

Snowshoeing

Snowshoeing will focus on winter enjoyment in Calgary and surrounding areas.

Outings will vary in time from 2 – 5 hours depending on location.

We will have 2 groups – one being a Leisure Group, whose outing location, pace and length will be geared to the participants.

I had hoped to go out to Cross Conservation this week, but Pierre and Martha were there on the week-end, and the snow is POOR!!!
Pierre Tremblay  has volunteered to lead us this Friday on a snowshoe along Three Point Creek.  The grade is minimal and there is no problem with travel over the stream as the flow is currently negligible.  As with any wilderness travel there are many natural hazards, but Pierre assures me none  are significant.

We have a map showing the location below.
Those wishing to snowshoe on Friday, January 27 can meet for car-pooling at the Shawnessy Home Depot;  ready to leave @ 9:00 am. I will be there.

You can call Pauline @ 403-271-7177, or e-mail me pauline@schaus.ca

EASY WALKERS

Since our beginning last spring we have had well attended walks.  Now that winter is approaching we will be meeting at the Ranche each Wednesday at 10:00 am and, providing it is not colder than  -10C and trail conditions are suitable, we will walk from there.  If outdoor conditions are not suitable the faster groups will be walking in South Centre Mall at 9:00am and you can join them if you wish.
